Brighton Summit High Growth Keynote sponsor University of Sussex discuss their Engine Hour session, and how the University ‘cracks on’ with developing new ideas and innovations.

At University of Sussex, innovation is at the heart of what we do, with world-leading research and over 17,000 enterprising and talented students helping to build future knowledge and skills. One of the key pillars of our strategy at Sussex is “Engage for Change” and this drives our collaboration with business to help involve, include and exchange knowledge from research to practice making change happen together.

We’re really excited to be keynote sponsors for this year’s Brighton Summit. The theme is most appropriate for the University where researchers are busy “Cracking on” with developing new ideas and innovations. Our data intensive scientists; engineers; physicists and chemists are progressing knowledge around AI, robotics, sensory technologies and drug discovery to bring new advances in medicine and address real world challenges whilst our psychologists and social scientists are considering the ethical, legal and policy implications of these new developments.

We will be running an Engine Hour session as part of the Summit, that will provide an opportunity for you to get hands on with quantum, sensory technologies, robotics and AI and we look forward to meeting you there and during the rest of the exciting programme for the day.
